Tewa Walk-a-thon 2006
Brief description – Since 2000, Tewa has been organizing fund raising Tewa Walk-a-thon every year.

In 2006, this event took place in March 18.

Grant-making
Tewa organized two interaction programmes with its grantees.

Sixteen women from 12 grantees organizations from the Central development region participated in the interaction programme that was organized in Kathmandu from 21 to 23 November 2005

Thirty four participants from 17 grantee organizations took part in the second interaction programme that was organized for the grantee groups from the far and mid western development regions. This event was conducted in Nepalgunj from 27 to 31 December 2005

  • 2ND Tewa Carnvial 2006 is being organized on 11 November 2006 at Birendra Interantional Convention Centre, Naya Banewar, Kathmandu
  • Raffle was publically opened on 10 August 2006 the winning raffle ticket numbers and names of the 1st to 4th prize winners are as follows:

Our congratulations to all the winners and very BIG thank you for all who bought the raffle tickets to make it a successful fund raising event. We will be posting the total income from this event after all the proceeds are verified and accounted.

  • A fund raiser film show was organized in May 2006, with the primier show of Hindi feature film Fanna. 
  • 88 Days campaign has ended, which was launched on 10 December 2005, international human rights day. This campaign is expected to raise about equivalent of US$ 4,000

 

Forthcoming Volunteers Programme

  1. An orientation programme for volunteers was held on 12 June 2006
  2. As part of enhancing volunteers capacity - motivational and leadership training entitled "Reject - May I love it" is being organized shortly
  3. Next Fund-raising volunteers training is scheduled from 29 June to 1 July 2006
