Idea to start Tewa Children Program was initiated by Tewa Founder, Rita Thapa. This program was started at the time of Tewa's 10th Year celebration. Presently, children aged 5 to 14 years from Dhapakhel area (Tewa's neighbourhood) take part in this program. Currently there are 75 children in this program which runs every Saturday between 10 am to 1 pm.

Main objective of this program is build good neighbourly relation and engage with the local community, impart philanthropic knowledge to children through fun activities like story telling, writing, songs and dance, visits to heritage sites and many other useful life education. There is a children's library which was established with material support from READ Nepal.

In 2008 the 1st edition of ‘Tewa Children’s program” a newsletter containing the work of the children .
