Tewa Land and Building Development Projects:

Tewa Land and Building Development Project

Phase 2:
The Tewa Cafeteria and Art Gallery
Located behind the main office building, the cafeteria has scenic views and is equipped with an exhibition wall, washroom, kitchen and outer work space. The cafeteria is envisioned as an economically run establishment that is accessible to the broader Nepali community. In addition, donated art will be exhibited, auctioned and sold, further generating income for Tewa while simultaneously educating the larger community.

Community Hall
The community hall is located beneath the parking lot, making full use of the land available. With a collapsible wall, the space can be used for 2 meetings or opened up for one large gathering with a capacity of almost 200. This will be a multi-purpose room that can be used or rented out for meetings, workshops or special events.

Open Air Theatre and Children’s Play Area
With seating for 300, the Open-air-theatre is located at the rear of the property. Upon completion, the theatre will stage musical, theatrical, educational and cultural events by various groups, including professionals and/or grantee groups. This will promote culture, theater and music by making it accessible to the community and will provide a strong source of income for Tewa. The children’s play area is an extension of creating education and recreational space for the communities children. It can also be used by visiting families.
